How it works

From first crowd to shipped game in four steps.

1
The Genji crowd editor

Design your crowd.

Pick the mix (laborers, soldiers, merchants) and press Generate: 1 credit for a cast of any size. Formation, density and movement are free to change as often as you like.

2
GET /v1/crowd/cr_market01
300 characters
positions, animations
model links

See it in your game, live.

One API call puts the crowd in your scene. Change it in the editor and your game updates.

Export

Export it for release.

API, MCP or a download for your build, with no dependency on our servers. ¥5 per unique character in the cast, once; the 300 people are copies and cost nothing.

Same cast, new layout1,200
Re-export0
Exporting the same generation again is free

Update any time.

Re-arrange, resize and re-export the same cast for free, as often as you like. A new cast is a new generation: 1 credit to generate, and its export is priced by its own unique characters.

Built for AI coding tools: point your assistant at our docs and it wires the crowd in for you. Read the API docs
The library

150+ outfits. One skeleton.

Every garment, face and hairstyle is built on the same rig, so any piece fits any body without a single manual adjustment. That's the whole trick: a curated library where nothing needs fitting, and every combination is already valid.

Which is why the numbers get silly fast. Five hundred outfits against the faces and hair is millions of unique people, and you'll never see the same one twice in a scene unless you ask for it.

A crowd of 200, three ways.

Fab
$2,500 to $20,000

25 packs or 200 characters at about $100

Time: instant purchase, then about 100 hours to fit mixed packs together

Still your job: retargeting, LOD, crowd runtime

Meshy
About $176 to $220

44 credits per character, plus retries

Time: 5 to 8 minutes per character: 17 to 27 hours of generating and waiting

Still your job: consistent style, LOD, crowd runtime

Genji
¥501 (≈ $74)

A cast of 100 unique characters: ¥1 to generate, ¥500 to export; the 200 people are copies

Time: instant: the crowd appears when you compose it

Still your job: nothing: one skeleton, animations and crowd runtime included

Genji can't generate anything you imagine, like AI can. It is instant, consistent and built for crowds.

Fab prices vary by seller; $100 per character or pack is illustrative. Meshy figures from its published credit costs and plan prices, 2026.

FAQ

Questions before you start

Is there a subscription?

No. You buy credits when you need them, and they never expire.

What is a unique character?

One combination of body, face and hair. You pay ¥5 for it once, when you export the cast it is in. Copies, colours, sizes and animations of that character are free.

Do I pay again when I update my game?

Not for the same cast: re-arranging and re-exporting a generation is free, as often as you like. A new cast is a new generation, exported at ¥5 per unique character.

Does my game need your servers after release?

No. A downloaded export is part of your build and runs offline. Browser and online games can also load crowds live through the API.

Which engines does it work with?

Web games (Three.js) today, with Tuanjie and Unity next. Your AI coding assistant can connect it through our API and docs.

Can I sell a game made with the sign-up credits?

Yes. Every export is licensed the same way, whether you paid for it with the sign-up credits or with credits you bought.

Do I own the characters?

You get a permanent, royalty-free licence to use what you exported in your games. The character library stays Genji's.
